Our glazed terracotta clay ceramics are all made and painted by hand, which makes each piece unique and each design slightly different. This is why you may notice slight imperfections, such as marks, cracking, nicks and minute stones in the glazing, which is natural. We want you to enjoy your ceramic for as long as possible.

Treat your ceramics with care and they will last forever

Earthenware objects

Frequent washing of these objects can help remove and prevent stains. We suggest you wash the glazed or partially glazed pieces by hand with soapy water, rinse them and leave them to dry. They are microwave and refrigerator safe, but we do not recommend placing them in the oven or dishwasher.

Difficult stains and marks can sometimes be removed with an anti-limescale product.

Black marks on the glaze (often caused by metal cutlery) can be cleaned with Vienna lime.

For grease stains, a mixture of baking soda and water can do the trick.

It is very important to display your ceramics in a place where the temperature does not vary, such as a bookcase, a table or a chest of drawers. Placing your items on a windowsill or a radiator, for example, can cause fine cracks to appear on the surface of the glaze.

Unglazed ceramics and terracotta

The terracotta items we offer are fired at low temperature, which means they remain porous and are not waterproof.

These objects are not intended to be used as vases or food containers but are purely decorative or are intended for dry use (such as holding pens on a desk).

Putting water in contact with these objects may cause cracking or mould.

We recommend that you clean these items with a dry cloth or a soft brush. The use of water, oil or a wet cloth can cause an irreversible change in colour.
